The Story of Maggie Lue

I wrote this short poem over the weekend. It’s stupid; really stupid. I hope you enjoy it!

I lay in bed thinkin' and wonderin'
Inside my head 'twas just pure bustling.
As I was deep in some great forethought,
a friend walked in; it took me by shock.

It was a girl named Maggie Lue.
I said to her, "How do you do?"
She looked at me with pure amazement,
as if I had just licked the pavement.

"You ask me how I do today,
and I will very gladly say.
In truthfulness, no cap, quite well;
I've just escaped my prison cell."

It wasn't what you might assume
that shocked me about Maggie Lue.
Oh, nothing to do with the prison;
Just her absurd "no cap" expression.

Maggie Lue, oh Maggie Lue,
if you don't stop, I will shoot you!
"No cap" is not a thing I say,
if invented yesterday.

"No cap" cannot mean "no lie";
You're gonna need an alibi.
Your brains is like a steamy turd,
I implore you, don't use that word.

Your brain is mush and you are dumb.
You're talking like you just drank rum.
With every single word you utter,
you're making me more like your mother.

There are many words to use.
Use them and you cannot lose.
A cap is what goes on your head,
remove this nonsense that you said.

Do not say "no cap" again.
I promise you, I'll stay your friend.
"Truly" is a word more fitting;
try to always be uplifting.
