Rebel Farmers: A Song of Revolution

Rebel Farmers: A Song of Revolution, by Asher Sisneros

There is George on his rooftop, screaming with glee,
As he taxes us down to our knees;
Rebel farmes united, rebel farmers we stand,
Rebel farmers who fight hand-in-hand.

The British are coming with a marvelous force,
Because we demand a divorce.
Rebel farmers united, rebel farmers we stand,
Rebel farmers who freedom demand.

They’ve oppressed us with taxes, they’ve oppressed us with tea,
They won’t stop until we are free!
Rebel farmers united, rebel farmers we stand,
Rebel farmers who fight hand-in-hand.

Victory’s o’er the horizon, victory’s near in our hand,
When the redcoats will flee from our land.
Rebel farmers united, rebel farmers we stand,
Rebel farmers who freedom demand.

    That part is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣

I think you accidentally made a very small spelling mistake in the third line: “Rebel farmes united…”

    1. I’m glad you enjoyed it, Dawn! Dr. North will have you write a poem/song for the Americans or the British once you start his 12th grade English course.

And thank you for pointing out the typo. I’ll fix it immediately.
